Redding Juggalo TV Interview

Alright this is just absolutely amazing. News channel 7 of Redding, Ca was doing a story on the police involved shooting from last Friday that ended with 19 year old Scott Deen being fatally shot by police officers. The news story led into an interview with a Gary Geer that was upset by the fact that violent criminals like Scott Deen were giving juggalos a negative image and leading to the group’s label as a gang. Gary was quoted during the interview saying,

“it’s not fair that they’re labled as a gang just because there are a few bad apples. They said when people commit crimes, they’re not doing it in the name of the Juggalo family and that people make their own personal decisions.

“I run around everyday with my face painted. I wear my medallion with pride, but I don’t commit crimes. I don’t condone crimes. I’m not agreeing with these people that are committing crimes and saying that they’re Juggalos because that’s taking away from what it’s all about,” Geer Jr. tell us.

They say the true way of life for Juggalos is about promoting love and being with people you can relate to. “It’s about listening to good music and having a family atmosphere, looking out for each other,”

Now that we have established that juggalos are just getting a bad wrap I had to share these mugshots. Please tell me I am not the only one that sees the irony in this.

Let me tell you I know him very very personally and the things he was arrested for were not in the name of Juggalos. I am not a fan of the group AT ALL. He has always liked their music and the make-up and likes to express himself. BUT AGAIN HE DIDN’T COMMIT CRIMES IN THE NAME OF JUGGALOS. He doesn’t do anything but be a stay at home dad and that’s about that. His past is past and has nothing to do with the music he likes.

that is gary geer jr and he gives juggalos a bad name he is a worthless person and doesnt deserve to be called a juggalo. i have been to shows put on by pyscopathic records and they have some of the most loyal fans and the show is amazing. i do support their family and their music.

  He has a horrible past but you know nothing about his personality to call him worthless. So don’t judge, people do make changes.

I think that Gary Geer is Gary Gerr Jr’s dad…not the guy that made the statement. However, I do see some irony in it. I saw that he was in there once for spouse abuse…hoping that the kid doesn’t turn out like his father…. however, have you ever heard the music from insane clown possie??…Not really someone to look up to….

  I think you are right about the sr. vs. jr deal but it was nonetheless a little ironic. As for the ICP band I think their music is crap and it’s just another gimmick. But hey if they are making money hand over fist more power to em’.
